AECP - Easy Ink Blending
Updated: Sep 14, 2020
Hi everyone, Happy Sunday Funday!
Today, I am sharing an Easy Ink Blending project, taught by Amy Lee. In this class, I have learned a few new tips and techniques that helped me blend the inks to look smoother. I also learned how to do Faux Watercoloring which is an easy, fun technique everyone can do.
For my card, I started off with a A2 size Canson XL watercolor panel which is my favorite paper by far for ink blending. I used 1 of the leaf cluster from the Altenew Leaf Canopy stamp set, stamped the image with Versamark Watercolor ink and heat embossed with Hero Arts white details embossing powder. Then, I blended the panel with Range Blueprint Sketch, Lagoon and Cracked Pistachio from dark to light to make it looks like gradient effect.
Afterward, I sprayed the panel with water to activate the colors. I also used a #12 watercolor brush to pick up some Altenew Watercolor in Persian Blue randomly drop it in the darker leaves area, Lagoon in the mid-tone area and Mountain Mist in the lighter area.
Finally, I stamped the sentiments with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Hero Arts white details embossing powder also. Lastly, I splashed some splatters on the panel with Persian Blue to finished off the card.
I really enjoyed making this card and I will definitely make more like this in different colors and designs in the future. I hope you all have a lovely evening. Happy crafting!
