ACEP - Beyond Basic Backgrounds

Hello, crafty friends, hope you all doing well!

Today, I am sharing a Matte Watercoloring Resist card for AECP Level 2 project. Let’s dive into it.

For this card, I used Moroccan Mosaic Cover Die to cut out a piece of DIY stencil with a piece of freezer paper. Then, I put the DIY stencil over a piece of watercolor paper, sandwich it with a printing paper and ran it through laminator. I sprinkled water on the entire panel, applied a dark blue water color from left hand corner and gradually adding water to paint it from dark to light to achieve the ombre affect. Finally, heat embossed the sentiment directly onto the panel. Trim the panel down to 3 3/4 x 5, foam mounted to a card base, and the card is finished.

It is so hard for me to see this card without any embellishments, but I like the clean and simple look.

Thank you for stopping by and have a lovely day :)
